Elopement at White Sands New Mexico
Many couples dream of becoming husband and wife surrounded by loved ones. However, for adventurous couple Jenny and Sam, their dream day was more spontaneous. They chose an intimate White Sands elopement. Sam and Jenny are nature enthusiasts from Iowa. So, surrounded by nature’s beauty, they began the celebration of their shared love.
Jenny hiked up the dunes wearing a simple white dress. Both her and Sam were accessorized in modest succulents. A park ranger inspected Jenny’s bouquet during our visit. Luckily, avid hiker Jenny was aware of regulations prohibiting live vegetation and came prepared! Make sure you are aware of any regulations or permits required if you are planning an event in a national park.
A wonderfully charismatic pastor officiated the wedding. His warm demeanor was perfect for the couple’s special moment. The ceremony started as soon as the couple found the spot they loved. I captured the moment they said “I do”. I was especially honored to be one of their two witnesses. The ceremony was short, sweet, but most importantly, everything the ecstatic couple hoped for.
We hiked further into the white sand dunes to take advantage of the setting sun. The blissful couple laughed and held each other. I captured their first moments celebrating as husband and wife.
