Whether it’s just the two of you, a courthouse ceremony, or an intimate celebration surrounded by the people closest to you, your wedding day still deserves to be photographed with the same care and intention as any other wedding.

A smaller wedding doesn’t mean a smaller story

Elopements and intimate weddings in El Paso, White Sands, Las Cruces, across the Southwest and beyond.

El Paso Elopement Photographer

What Does an Elopement Actually Look Like?

There really isn’t one way to elope.

It might be just the two of you exchanging vows somewhere beautiful. It could be a courthouse ceremony followed by portraits around El Paso. Or maybe you want your parents, siblings and closest friends beside you for an intimate ceremony in the mountains or at White Sands.

What makes an elopement special isn’t how few people are there. It’s the freedom to build the day around what matters most to you.

I’ve photographed intimate celebrations in many different ways, couples completely on their own, small ceremonies surrounded by family, courthouse weddings, and celebrations with a handful of the people they love most.

Your day can be simple, adventurous, emotional, elegant or a little bit of everything

For many small elopements, absolutely. With around ten guests or fewer, family photographs can happen quickly, leaving most of our time together focused on the two of you.

Is 2–3 hours enough?

With a small wedding, I often feel less like another vendor and more like an old friend who happens to have a camera.

I’ll help you choose a location, find the right time of day, build a simple timeline and recommend vendors when you need them. If we’re going somewhere new, I’m also happy to scout it beforehand.

On the wedding day, I photograph an elopement the same way I photograph any wedding, the portraits, the ceremony, the people you love and the moments happening naturally around you.

The difference is that we usually have more freedom. There’s no rush to get you back to 150 guests waiting at cocktail hour. We can slow down, explore and make photographs without constantly watching the clock.

An Old Friend With a Camera

Planning something a little larger? You can also explore my El Paso wedding photography experience and learn more about how I photograph traditional wedding days.

I’d love to hear what you’re imagining.

Before we talk about collections or timelines, I want to understand who you are as a couple, what you want this day to feel like, and what matters most to you.

We’ll have a conversation, talk through your ideas, and make sure we’re the right fit. From there, I can help you figure out the photography coverage that makes sense for the elopement you’re planning.

Tell me what you’re dreaming about, even if you haven’t figured out all the details yet.

Planning an Elopement in El Paso or Southern New Mexico?

Every elopement is a little different, so I offer coverage that can fit the day you’re actually planning, from two hours for something simple and intimate, to four hours or a full eight-hour day.

Elopement photography begins at $1,500 for two hours of coverage.

Your photographs are delivered in a private online gallery with high-resolution files, just like my traditional wedding collections. And if you want your photographs somewhere beyond a screen, I can also help you create an album after the wedding.
