Wedding in San Diego
Jessica and David’s San Diego Wedding at Coronado beach is intimate with only close family and friends. Being that I normally shoot weddings in El Paso, Texas, this was definitely a wedding I was looking forward to. They were the first couple I photographed in El Paso. This was back in 2009, when I was barely starting my photography business. They are very dear to me for that reason. I luckily got to also shoot their engagement session in Laguna Beach. We also got great shots at the Santa Monica Pier.
The soon to be married couple each get ready separately in their hotel rooms. Jessica and her mother share unforgettable moments while they prepare for the lovely day ahead. Her mother gently wipes Jessica’s face as her eyes fill with tears of joy. Jessica looks stunning. Her veil is simple and has tiny beading on the end that makes it so elegant.
The ceremony takes place on Coronado Beach which is walking distance from the Hotel Del Coronado. The Hotel Del Coronado makes a marvelous backdrop for many of the shots. The blues in the sky and ocean are captivating, both looking like they lasted for days. When David see’s Jessica walk down the aisle it is as though the whole beach disappeared. He couldn’t take his eyes off of her. I am grateful to be a part of such a magical wedding at Coronado Beach in the couple’s lives.

Wedding reception at the Maritime Museum
Once we get back to the Maritime Museum the reception begins! The whole room fills with love and laughter. Jessica’s smile lights up the room and is a constant reminder of the happy couple’s love. Luckily I’m able to capture her bright smile through many images. Once the music starts everyone hits the dance floor. Many friends gather around the couple and contribute fun dance moves on the floor, all celebrating the beautiful event that began with a wedding at Coronado’s beachside.
After the reception we spend the last two hours of the day taking photos until sunset. I take the couple to the USS Midway where the couple is able to share some intimate moments together. David and Jessica cannot keep their eyes or hands off each other. After the USS Midway we cruised through La Jolla and ended at Torrey Pines. It was a perfect end to their wedding day at Coronado beach, a location that holds precious memories for them.
